‘Cities for Forests’ is a nationwide campaign conducted by WWF India that aimed towards raising awareness about saving forests and protecting the green cover amongst the youth of India. The website is an interactive initiative that works attractively to serve its basic purpose of promoting ecological concerns.
CHALLENGE:
WWF India wanted a website that can create an effective online presence to promote their campaign and enable it to reach the masses. They wanted a visually appealing, sophisticated and aesthetically pleasing website that includes rich and informative content for an enhanced user experience. Also, the site should be adequately scalable and dynamic, so that people come and read, share their work, experiences in and around forests.
SOLUTION:
Interactive Bees, a web development company, designed and developed a dynamic website using PHP-5, jquery, MySQL, Ajax and Javascript. A very interesting flash has been incorporated on the home page that adds to the look and feel of the site, the designs are seamless, attractive and depict complete feel of forests.
The website interface is user friendly and easily navigable which makes it interesting for users to browse through. Various elements and features have been included to make the website intuitive and interactive, users have an option to register themselves over the website and upload images, videos, presentations, stories and share ideas with each other. They can also comment on someone’s work if they like it. Other than this, the site is a perfect balance of imagery and content giving users an enriching experience.
Success:
Cities for Forests has turned out to be a very interesting and attractive website that is fully interactional and will be loved by users who wish to share their passion for a greener world on a common platform.
